New Song from Uke Jackson
THICK STACK OF HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS
This song is from my new musical comedy Cafe Lysistrata, which is in pre-production for an Off Broadway run. In the show, and on the cast recording, it will be sung by a young woman playing a busker.
So George Ruhe, the photographer, was talking about taking his uke when riding his motorcycle. That inspired this song. I recorded it in one shot, then added the chopper sound effects. I forgot my cockatiel was in the room. You'll hear him chirping in the background. I figured since the bird's name is Gulliver and this is a travelling song, I'd just leave his contribution as part of the tune.
